PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records connected with the impugned Government order passed by the 1st respondent in G.O. (1D) No. 218 School Education (Pa.Ka.5(1)) Department dated 20.06.2019 and QUASH the same in so far as Condition No. 9(i) is concerned and consequently DIRECT the respondents to permit the petitioner in the General Transfer Counseling for the year 2019-20, scheduled to be held on 14.07.2019 or on other subsequent dates, for the vacancies to the post of Secondary grade teacher. The petitioner, a Secondary Grade Teacher, working in Panchayat Union Elementary School, P.Pasupathypalayam, K.Paramathi Union, Karur District was deployed to Kulithalai Union, Anganwadi Centre to teach kinder garden children. The Government has issued an Order in G.O.(1D)No.218, School Education (Pa.Ka.5(1)) Department, dated 20.06.2019 that the teachers, who are willing to participate in the transfer counseling has to serve in the present post for a period of three years. the above Government order, the petitioner has filed this writ petition in the year 2019.

2.Today (07.11.2024), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel on either side submits that as per the proceedings of the District Educational Officer, Kulithalai in Na.Ka.No.5765/A2/2018, dated 11.01.2019, the petitioner has now been transferred to Panchayat Union Middle School, Kurichi Kulithalai Union, Karur and he is now working as a Secondary Grade Teacher. Therefore, he is not interested in prosecuting this writ petition.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is closed. No Costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed. 07.11.2024 NCC:Yes/No Index:Yes vrn 3/5
