ORDER
The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition, seeking a direction to the respondents to correct the error made during the UDR period to the petitioner's name as S.P.Rengaraj instead of Govindaraj in patta No.1428 in Survey No.314 sub-division No.14-A, Siruppathur Village, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy District, within the time fixed by this Court. 2.By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.Mr.P.Kannithevan, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4.According to the petitioner, he is in possession of the land in Survey No.314, Sub-Division No.14-A, Siruppathur Village, 1/3
Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy District. During sub-division, his name was wrongly entered as Govindaraj instead of S.P.Rengaraj. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents. The Village Administrative Officer, Sirappathur Village, after conducting enquiry, has submitted his report before the third respondent on 28.09.2019, stating that the error was made while updating the computer patta and he has recommended the third respondent to make correction with regard to the name of the petitioner in the patta. However, no effective steps have been taken by the third respondent. Hence, he approached this Court seeking aforesaid prayer.
5.When the matter is taken up for admission, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that a communication has been issued by the second respondent to the third respondent on 11.02.2020 with regard to the correction of errors. Due to Covid-19 situation, the said exercise could not be completed and the request of the petitioner will be considered and a decision will be taken, within a period of eight (8) weeks from today (04.11.2020) and the same will also be communicated to the petitioner.
6.Recording the said submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
