Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 07.07.2017 regarding compassionate appointment in the light of the judgment passed by the High Court, Madurai Bench in W.A.(MD).No.737 of 2013 and also in W.P.No.25784 of 2010 and give appointment to the petitioner on compassionate grounds in any suitable post compensate with the petitioner's qualification consequent on the death of petitioner's father S.Ganesan on 18.11.2002 while in service in the fourth respondent school.

2.By consent of both the parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner's father was working as Senior Grade Teacher. He died while in service. The petitioner applied for appointment on compassionate ground within time.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the application submitted by the petitioner is under the active consideration of the department. In fact, the petitioner was even called for interview in this regard. 5.Therefore, this Court directs the first respondent to process the case of the petitioner and take a decision on merits in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from today. 6.The Writ Petition is allowed as indicated above. No costs.
