*********** [Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Sherin Hudha aged about 19 years went missing from 20.06.2022 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition with the above prayer.
2.Heard Mr.S.M.A.Jinnah, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.
3.On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in 2/5
Kodaikanal Police Station in Crime No.175 of 2022 has been registered on 26.06.2022 for 'woman missing' and during the course of investigation, it came to light that Sherin Hudha has eloped with the third respondent herein. He also stated that the police have secured Sherin Hudha and are producing her before the jurisdictional Magistrate, today.
4.Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
