2. W.P(MD)No.15199 of 2025 has been filed for directing the respondent to issue license to the petitioner's tinkering workshop in the name and style of S.M.Body Works in New.S.No.14/8C in Thingalnagar Town Panchayath, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District.

The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent submits that the applications filed by the petitioners for issuance of license under Rule 289 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules, 2023 and Section 102 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act, 1988, will be disposed of within a period of four weeks.

4. Recording the above submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the applications filed by the petitioners for issuance of licence with a period of four weeks from today. It is needless to state that, in case, the respondent is inclined to reject the applications filed by the petitioners, a notice shall be issued to the petitioners and to any other persons 3/5
