Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 26.2.2016 pertaining to the issuance of patta for the land in Resurvey No.204/9 measuring to an extent of 1 acre and 5 cents situated at T.S.No.3/15, Ward 'A' Block No.22 in Melur Town within the time stipulated by this Court. Heard both sides.

2.By consent of both sides, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The Petitioner in the main Writ Petition seeks for a limited relief namely praying for passing of an order by this Court in

directing the Respondents to consider the Petitioner's representation, dated 26.2.2016 pertaining to the issuance of patta for the land in Resurvey No.204/9 measuring an extent of 1 acre and 5 cents situated at T.S.No.3/15, Ward 'A' Block No.22 in Melur Town, within the time limit to be determined by this Court. 4.Taking note of the fact that the Petitioner's representation, dated 26.2.2016 is pending on the file of the Third Respondent/The Special Tahsildar, Town Settlement, Melur, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, at this stage, this Court without dwelling deep into the merits and contentions of the representation of the Petitioner, dated 26.2.

2016, in the interest of justice and fair play, directs the Third Respondent/The Special Tahsildar, Town Settlement, Melur, Melur Taluk, Madurai District to take up the representation of the Petitioner, dated 26.2.2016 and to dispose of the same in a fair, free,unbiased and dispassionate manner and to pass necessary orders(of course after providing necessary opportunity to the Petitioner and others concerned, if any by adhering to the principles of natural justice in true letter and spirit) within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

It is open to the Petitioner to produce copies of all necessary/relevant documents before the Third Respondent/The Special Tahsildar, Town Settlement, Melur, Melur Taluk, Madurai District and the Third Respondent shall take into consideration of the same at the time of disposal of the representation of the Petitioner, dated 26.2.2016.

5.With the aforesaid observations and directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
