O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to consider the case of the writ petitioner for medical reimbursement.

2. The petitioner is a pensioner and undergone certain treatment for ailments. Admittedly, the petitioner is a member of New Health Insurance Scheme and therefore eligible for medical reimbursement. Along with the medical bills, the petitioner submitted an application for medical reimbursement on 27.08.2020 and the respondents have not considered the said application of the writ petitioner. Thus, the petitioner is constrained to move the present writ petition. The medical reimbursement claim submitted by the eligible employees are to be considered as expeditiously as possible by the competent authorities. Such application cannot be kept pending for an indefinite period. The petitioner states that he is eligible for medical reimbursement claim. He filed the application along with all the required documents.

3. Under these circumstances, the respondents are directed to consider the medical reimbursement claim application submitted by the writ petitioner on 27.08.2020 and take a decision on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is permitted to submit the copy of the application along with all other documents, if any, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to the respondent.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
