The petitioner is a widow. She claims that she had relationship with a police constable. Taking advantage of the same, the police constable has taken away a sum of Rs.30,000/- from her. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this application seeking a direction to the respondent police to take action.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that based on the complaint of the petitioner, departmental proceedings has been initiated by the Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar, as against the police constable in C.No.F2/3356/2025 on 31.05.2025 and the enquiry is pending. He has also been transferred to Chennai. In the event if the inquiry reveals that the allegations made by the petitioner are true, necessary action would be taken.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this writ petition is closed.
