The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct respondents 1 and 2 to permit the petitioner to participate in the counselling of the year 2019-2020 for the post of Head Mister in Keeranur Government Middle School based on the representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2019.

2. Transfer counselling is a facility and concession provided by the Government. Transfer and posting are the power conferred under Section 48 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader brought to the notice of this Court that the counselling of the year 2019-2020 was already concluded and therefore, the cause did not exist.

4. In view of the fact that the counselling was already concluded, no further adjudication is required in this writ petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
