2. By consent, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The case of the petitioner is that after his father's demise, he approached the first respondent/Executive Engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Aruppukottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District for free current connection in his name, based on his father's application dated 23.04.2015.

4. According to him, he had furnished all the necessary documents as well as the father's death certificate and the legalheir certificate. He had also obtained no objection certificate from his sisters and mother for providing free current connection in his name. However, his grievance is the first respondent has not considered his request.

5. The petitioner sent a representation to the first respondent on 07.12.2015 and the same was forwarded to the second respondent on the same day. However, the respondents had not acted properly on the representation. Inasmuch as the relief sought for by the petitioner in the main writ petition is only limited viz., to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 07.12.2015 by the first respondent, this Court, at this stage, simpliciter, without delving deep into the merits and contents of the representation, dated 07.12.2015 of the petitioner, directs the first respondent to take up the representation of the petitioner dated 07.12.2015 in all seriousness and earnestness and to dispose of the same on merits, by providing reasonable opportunity to the petitioner by adhering to the principles of natural justice, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The petitioner is directed to provide assistance and cooperation to the first respondent in disposing of the representation dated 07.12.2015. In case, the first respondent is need copies of relevant documents/records from the custody of the petitioner, then the first respondent shall issue necessary notice to the petitioner requiring him to produce such documents/records as the case may be and on receipt of the same, shall take into consideration of the same and to pass necessary orders in the subject matter in issue within the time prescribed by this Court, as stated supra.

7. With the above observation and direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
