ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] Today, when the Habeas Corpus Petition is taken up for hearing, it is reported by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the detenu has eloped with a girl, by name, Kanmani. A case has been registered against the detenu under Section 366-A of the Indian Penal Code.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that there is a threat to the life of the detenu.

3. Considering the submissions made, we do not find any reason to keep the Habeas Corpus Petition pending. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. However, the second respondent shall continue with the investigation and take necessary steps to secure the detenu.
