[Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner filed this Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the State of Tamil Nadu, represented by the Secretary to Government, Home Department and the Director General of Police, to curtail increasing law and order problem and reduce the crime, like theft, chain snatching, rape, robbery, murders, kidnapping, extortion of money, murder for gain, contract killing, two wheeler thefts, etc.

2. When it was pointed out to the petitioner, who appeared as party in person, as to whether he compared the crime rate in the State of Tamil Nadu with the other States, the petitioner fairly submitted that compared to other States, the crime rate is very low in the State of Tamil Nadu. When the facts and figures were put to the petitioner, he fairly submitted that he is not pressing the Writ Petition.
