Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this Criminal Original Petition and made an endorsement to that effect.

2.In view of the endorsement so made, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. However, considering the fact that the matter is pending from the year 2016, the learned Trial Judge is directed to proceed with the trial and dispose of the same, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
