ORDER

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents to rectify an entry as Government land in the revenue records relating to the lands assigned to the petitioner in S.Nos.309/1 and 309/2 in patta No.786, measuring 0.56.50 ares and 0.16.50 ares respectively at Mangaiyendhal village, Kilankatur Revenue Group, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader however, states that assignment had been done only for one survey number and the petitioner has clubbed both the survey numbers and that a direction to measure the land can be given to only one survey number and not to both the lands.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, states that patta has been granted. The issue is now under the purview of the second respondent / District Collector who had also called for a report.

A direction is given to the District Collector, Sivagangai, to examine the entire issue and in the manner known to law, pass final orders on the representation given by the petitioner herein on or before 31.10.2023. 5.This Writ Petition stands disposed of.
