This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 16.11.2016.

respondents 1 to 4. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 3.The case of the petitioner is that he filed an appeal before the respondents 1 to 3 on 16.11.2016 to take necessary steps to cancel the legal heir certificate issued in favour of the fifth respondent on 04.02.2016, based on which, the third respondent issued notice calling upon the petitioner to appear before him. Despite the petitioner appeared before the third respondent along with necessary documents, no order has been passed so far in the appeal. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents 2 and 3 to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 16.11.2016 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any of the interested parties. 5.With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
