Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1 to 4 respondents to provide emergency leave for 3 days from 23.05.2026 to 25.05.2026 to Prabhukumar (L.C.P.No.389493), who is a life convict, to attend ear Piercing Ceremony of his own daughter, namely P.Harini and his son, P.Hariharasudhan, based on the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2026.

[Order of the Court was made by N.ANAND VENKATESH, J.] This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing respondent Nos.1 to 4 to provide three days emergency leave to the petitioner's husband, who is a life convict and is presently serving sentence at Central Prison, Madurai.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced the rejection order dated 29.04.2026 passed by the second respondent.

3. In the light of the above development, it is left open to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings in the manner known to law.

4. This Writ Petition (Criminal) is disposed in the above terms.
