Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondents to expedite the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.13 of 2018 and thus render justice.

O R D E R

This Court, by an order dated 07.08.2018, in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.13982 of 2018, directed the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.13 of 2018 and file a final report or closure report. Since the order was not complied with, the present Contempt Petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the Contempt Petition was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the investigation in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CONT.P.(MD)No.962 of 2019 Crime No.13 of 2018 has been completed and final report has also been filed on 16.12.2018 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur and the same is yet to be taken cognizance.

3. Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, the Contempt Petition is closed, as no further order is required.
