PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to expedite the investigation in Crime No.522 of 2016 on the file of the second respondent and file final report, within a time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.522 of 2016, on the file of the second respondent and file a final report.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3.In an earlier occasion, this Court has passed an order in Crl.OP.(MD) No.10255 of 2018, dated 25.06.2018, directing the second respondent to file the final report within 15 days. But as on today, no final report has been filed.

4.Instead of filing contempt petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner once again filed the present petition seeking direction to the respondent to file a final report. 5.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that if one month time is granted, the final report will be filed before the concerned Court and he would apologize before this Court for non-filing of the final report in time as ordered by this Court in the earlier occasion.

6. Recording the said submission, the respondents are directed to complete the investigation and file a Final Report in Crime No.522 of 2016, within a period of one month from today. 7.Registry is directed to post this matter on 07.12.2020, under the caption "for reporting compliance".

8. With the aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
