ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to rectify the mistake in revenue records in respect of the property comprised in R.S.No.10/1, having an extent of of 0.34.0 ares situated at Usilampatti Village, Madurai North Taluk and re-transfer the patta in the name of the petitioner.
2.Heard the arguments of the learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.It is the case of the petitioner that she purchased the above mentioned property under a registered sale deed, dated 06.06.2007. Subsequently, mutation had taken place and patta was also issued in the name of the petitioner in patta No.157. The petitioner has been in possession and enjoyment of the property right from the date of purchase. However, recently an erroneous entry was made in the revenue records 2/5
by including the name of Arulmigu Ayyanar Thirukovil in respect of the subject property. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the second respondent on 09.10.2024, seeking rectification of error in the revenue records and restoration of patta in the name of the petitioner. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court.
5.In view of the said stand taken by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.10.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner and Arulmigu Ayyanar Thirukovil. 3/5
6.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
