This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in M.C.No.12 of 2017, pending before the Judicial Magistrate, Periyakulam.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the matter relates to matrimonial dispute and the matter was referred to Mediation.
3.Accordingly, the parties appeared before the Mediation Centre and the matter was settled between the parties and a report was also received to that effect from the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court.
4.In view of the above, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the trial in M.C.No.12 of 2017 Pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Periyakulam. Accordingly, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the proceedings in M.C.No.12 of 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Periyakulam is hereby quashed. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed and the settlement agreement between the parties shall form part of this order. Consequently, the connected criminal miscellaneous petitions are closed.
