COMMON ORDER These writ petitions are filed to quash the draft notifications of the third respondent dated 31.05.2017 and 12.05.2017 respectively.
2. It is brought to the notice of this Court a Government Order in G.O.(Ms) No.170, Industries (SIPCOT-LA) Department, dated 23.09.2019, wherein the following order has been passed: "6.The Government after careful examination of the proposal of Additional Chief Secretary/Commissioner of Land Administration and the views of the Managing Director, SIPCOT have decided to drop the entire scheme of land acquisition in an extent of 507.38.46 hectares (1253.24 acres) in Karaikudi Taluk in Sivagangai District for the reasons detailed above. The entire land acquisition initiated in an extent of 507.38.46 hectares (1253.24 acres) in Kazhanivasal and Thiruvelankudi Villages, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District for setting up of new industrial park at Karaikudi Taluk in Sivagangai District as detailed below shall be dropped.

7. The administrative sanction accorded in G.O.(Ms) No.281, Industries (SIPCOT-LA) Department dated 30.12.2015 is hereby cancelled.
8. The District Collector, Sivagangai is directed to follow the instructions given in G.O.(Ms) No.1010, Revenue Department, dated 22.09.2012 to recover the establishment charges from the SIPCOT."
