O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to change / transfer the electricity service connection No.75 in connection with the properties in Ayan S.No.281 of Thathaiyangarpet Village, Trichy District into the petitioner's name from the name of his deceased mother namely Padmavathiammal, based on the communication dated 29.08.2017.

3. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.The case of the petitioner is that his mother has purchased the property measuring to an extent of 2 acres and 55 3⁄4 cents including a well and 5 HP electric motor pump in Ayan S.No.281 at Thathyangarpet village and the said property was also given electricity service connection bearing No.75 and after the demise of her mother, the petitioner has given a communication dated 29.08.2017 to the second respondent to change / transfer the said electricity service connection in respect of the said property in his name. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that if reasonable time is granted to the second respondent, the communication dated 29.08.

2017 will be considered and suitable orders will be passed. 5.In view of the said submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to consider the communication sent by the petitioner on 29.08.2017 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as to the respondents 4 to 6 and any of the interested parties.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
