ORDER
This writ petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondents to carry out the name of the petitioner in revenue records being maintained by them in respect of Gramanatham S.No.241/21, admeasuring 0.00.45 sq.meter at Kanjanaickenpatti Village, Aruppukottai Taluk in view of proceedings of 1st respondent in H.S.T 306/1405, dated 25.02.1996 and thereby issue patta. 2.Heard both sides.
3.By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was allotted with the subject mentioned land by the Government in the year 1996. However his name has not been mentioned in the revenue records in respect of the said land. Hence, the petitioner on 20.12.2016, submitted a representation to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
respondents to include his name in the revenue records. As no order has been passed by the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.
5.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits within the time stipulated by this Court.
6.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation dated 20.12.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the interested parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
