ORDER

Challenging the denial of compassionate appointment by the proceedings dated 22.12.2016, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. A consequential direction has also been sought for by the petitioner to the respondents to consider him for compassionate appointment.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.On notice, the fourth respondent has filed a counter affidavit, wherein, paragraph - 8 reads as follows: "8.I submitted the averment said in para Nos.8, 9 and 10 that his compassionate ground appointment proposal has been submitted to Superintending Engineer Thamaraparani Basin Circle, Thirunelveli vide the Executive Engineer, WRD, PWD, Kodayar Basin Division, Nagercoil, Lt.No.E1/4622/79 (17)/2016, dated 11.01.2018." 4.Since the respondents are about to consider the case of the petitioner as stated above, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
