ORDER

This petition is filed seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents to provide police protection for the purpose of conducting the festival called 'Aaratu Vila" and "Oonjal Sevai' for the deity of the temple, namely, "Nadu Theervaipathi Sriman Narayana Swamy Thirukovil" situated at Udayappan Kudiiruppu, Maniketti Pottal, Kanyakumari District.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that even though the representation has been made for the purpose of giving protection for conducting festival on 30.08.2021 and 31.08.2021, they conducted only Poojas and no festival has been conducted.
