Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to appoint the petitioner as Driver based on the petitioner's educational qualification, technical qualification of Badge License and employment registration seniority, in the permanent vacancy for the post of the "Driver"now available in Ezhudesam Town Panchayat, Kanyakumari District within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to appoint the petitioner as Driver based on his education qualification as well as his seniority.

2. The petitioner seeking appointment straight away approached the authorities by his representations dated 27.01.2015, 10.06.2016 and 14.09.2017, which were not considered by the respondents so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The third respondent filed a counter affidavit stating that the "Driver" post in the third respondent Panchayat has not been approved by the Government so far and hence, the petitioner's case would be considered on merits as and when the approval is granted.

4. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
