ORDER
This writ petition has been filed, seeking to direct the 1st respondent to issue free house site patta by considering the enjoyment of the petitioner over the lands to the extent of 3 cents in S.No.719/16 situated at Kampur Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, as narrated in the representation dated 25.09.2017, within a time frame as fixed by this Court
2.Heard both sides.
3.By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner constructed a tiled house in the land in S.No.719/16 at Kampur Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, which is a Natham Poromboke land as per revenue records and he has been in possession and enjoyment of the same for the past twenty years and also he has been paying property tax and electricity charges. Hence, the petitioner, on 25.09.2017, sent a representation to the first respondent, seeking to grant him free house site patta. Since his representation is not yet considered by the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.
5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits, within the time stipulated by this Court.
6.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation dated 25.09.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
