O R D E R

The Petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the Petitioner dated 27.01.2025 and 12.05.2025 for issuance of free house site patta for the house situated in S.No.737/6, situated at Sullerumbu Village, Dindigul West Taluk.

2.Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the Petitioner, he has been in possession and enjoyment of the above mentioned property for the past 25 years. He submitted a representation before the second respondent on 27.1.2025 seeking issuance of patta based on his long possession. The second respondent in his proceedings in O.Mu.No. 13/2025/Aa1, dated 29.1.2025 directed the Petitioner to submit necessry documents substantiating his long possession over the subject property. Even after the production of necessary documents substantiating his long possession over the subject 2/5

property, the request of the Petitioner has not been considered. Hence the Petitioner has submitted another representation to the District Collector on 12.5.2025 seeking issuance of patta. The same was forwarded to the second respondent on 12.5.2025.The said representation has not been considered by the second respondent till date.Therefore the Petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that representation of the Petitioner will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court. 5.In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the Petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 12.5.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of 12 weeks from the date of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
