Respondents PRAYER:This petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the impugned letter No.810/CVIII/2009-1, dated 30.09.2016 on the file of the first respondent, quash the same and further restrained them from conducting any enquiry on the community status of the petitioner.

2.Heard Mr.V.Venkataseshan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.D.Muruganantham, Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 3 and Mr.K.R.Laxman, learned counsel takes notice for the second respondent. 3.The petitioner is working as a Driver under the second respondent. He got a job by producing Community Certificate as if he belongs to Kattunayakkan Community, which is a Scheduled Tribe Community in Tamil Nadu and the genuineness of Community Certificate used by the petitioner has to be verified. In this regard, notice has been issued by the first respondent. The said notice is being challenged before this Court.

4.Today, when the matter came up for hearing, Mr.S.Vellaichamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner produced a communication dated 25.01.2018 issued by the Government Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (CV III) Department and submitted that the proceedings initiated against the petitioner regarding the genuineness of Community Certificate were dropped, as the State Level Scrutiny Committee already confirmed the genuineness of the Community Certificate of the petitioner by proceedings No.13729/ADW2/2002, dated 23.02.2004.

5.Since the proceedings initiated against the petitioner were dropped, nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition. Hence, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
