Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue patta in petitioner's name for his land situated in Co.Abisekapuram Village, Trichy in Survey No.99/1 having extent of 2160 sq.ft. as house site based on the petitioners representations dated 02.03.2005 and 13.01.2017 respectively within a stipulated time.

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the second respondent to issue patta in respect of a land situated in Survey No.99/1 to an extent of 2160 sq.ft., at Co.Abisekapuram Village, Trichy, on the basis of his representations dated 02.03.2005 and 13.01.2017 respectively.

2.Needless to say that it is for the second respondent to consider the request of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the rival parties, if any. Therefore, this Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner.

3.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of only with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the rival claimants. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
