Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle the interest at the rate of 18% p.a. on the belated payment of arrears of salary of Rs.6,15,721/- due from 30.09.1986 and arrears of surrender leave salary of Rs.44,382/- to till the date of settlement in January 2020 and also to settle the interest on the belated payment of arrears of pension of Rs.7,18,414/-, arrears of commutation of Rs.88,955/- and arrears of Gratuity of Rs.1,07,865/- from the date of retirement on 31.3.2010 till the date of settlement in February 2020 in the light of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court reported in 2000 (3) LLN 1 dated 31.1.2000.

This Contempt Petition is filed to punish the respondent for wilful and deliberate disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.6484 of 2020, dated 09.07.2020.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent on instructions submitted that the order of this Court has been complied with and the representation of the petitioner was disposed of vide Govt.
