Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2.The petitioner's husband had taken four policies with LIC. The petitioner has been named as nominee. While LIC honoured one policy, it repudiated the remaining three policies. The second respondent communicated his decision vide letter dated 27.03.2019. In paragraph 6 of the said communication, it has been mentioned that the petitioner can appeal to the Zonal Manager. The petitioner accordingly filed an appeal before the first respondent. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date his appeal has not been disposed of.
3.The first respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period of five weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
