ORDER

This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police not to harass the petitioner in the name of enquiry basing on the representation dated 03.06.2023 given by the 3rd respondent.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's father died after prolonged illness, for which, the petitioner and his family had spent about seven lakhs. The 4th respondent who is no way concerned with the petitioner's family has filed a complaint before the Police, basing on which, the petitioner is being harassed by the Police.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the 4th respondent submits that the petitioner is aware of the fact that the 4th respondent is the second wife of the petitioner's late father one Ganesan. The marriage of late Ganesan and the 4th respondent took place with the knowledge of everybody including the petitioner and his family members. The said Ganesan is alleged to have lived with the 4th respondent for 15 years and during his life time, when he was sick, the 4th respondent is stated to have given some jewels to the petitioner and the same was 2/5

mortgaged by him allegedly for the treatment of his father. When the fourth respondent has requested the petitioner to redeem the same from the mortgage and return back, the petitioner has taken a plea that she is a stranger.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that the representation given by the 4th respondent dated 03.06.2023 was enquired into and was ultimately disposed of on 30.06.2023.

5. Since the enquiry has been completed, there is no question of harassment by the respondent Police. Hence, no further orders required to be passed in this case. Therefore, this criminal original petition is dismissed. 14.07.2023 Speaking/Non-speaking order NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No mbi 3/5
