ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioners and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2.The petitioners were cultivating the petition mentioned lands. But they were formally evicted by taking recourse to the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act. In these circumstances, the petitioners may not have any legal right to call upon this Court to direct the respondents to permit them to cultivate the petition mentioned lands. The petitioners have given a representation before the first respondent and it is entirely for the first respondent to take a call in the matter.

3.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
