Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the 2nd respondent to give adequate protection to the life and limb of the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2021, within the period as stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to give adequate protection to the life and limb of the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2021, within the period as stipulated by this Court. 2.When the mater is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based upon the representation made by the petitioner, enquiry was undertaken in C.P.No.679 of 2021 and during the course of enquiry the counter respondents namely Selvam and others also appeared before the Enquiry Officer and given an undertaking to the effect that they will not make any trouble to the petitioner. On the basis of the undertaking given by the counter respondents, it was closed. 3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor as well as the undertaking given by the counter respondents in the complaint, I find there is no necessity for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.12304 of 2021 granting police protection to the petitioner. Since there was no life threat at the hands of the counter respondents, nothing survives in this petition for further consideration and direction. Hence, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.

4.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed as infructuous.
