Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 16.6.2016 for rectifying the mistakes in the official records I.e., UDR A Registry in S.No.156/1B2 in Revenue Office, Thoothukudi,Thoothukudi District.

Heard both sides.
2.By consent of both sides, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal. No counter is filed on behalf of the Respondents.
3.The grievance of the Petitioner is that his representation dated 16.6.2016 addressed to the Second Respondent/The Revenue Divisional Officer, Revenue Divisional Office, Thoothukudi District seeking change of patta in his name has not been considered by the Second Respondent till date. Hence the Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 4.In view of the fact that the Petitioner's representation, dated 16.6.2016 is pending on the file of the Second
Respondent/The Revenue Divisional Officer, Revenue Divisional Office, Thoothukudi District and also on the file of the First Respondent/The District Revenue Officer, Thoothukudi, Thoothukudi District, at this stage, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits and contents of the representation of the Petitioner, dated 16.6.2016, in the interest of justice, Equity and Fair Play, directs the First Respondent/The District Revenue Officer, Thoothukudi, Thoothukudi District to take up the representation of the Petitioner, dated 16.6.2016 and to dispose of the same within a period of five weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The First Respondent is directed to pass a reasoned speaking order on merits(of course after providing adequate opportunity to the Petitioner and others concerned, if any, by adhering to the principles of natural justice in true letter and spirit). It is open to the Petitioner to submit/produce copies of necessary documents/records before the First Respondent, so as to enable him to dispose of his representation within the time determined by this Court. The Petitioner is also directed to lend his assistance and cooperation to the First Respondent for early disposal of his representation, dated 16.6.2016.
5.With the aforesaid observations and directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
