This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.02.2020 and sanction the TA/Ha to the tune of Rs.51,600/- with interest at 18% till the actual date of payment. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner was retired from service on 31.05.2019. When the petitioner was posted as Record Keeper cum Cashier in the Manaparai Branch of SBI, he was issued an order of deputation to report to Trichy Town Branch. The petitioner had resided in Manaparai. Therefore, he has to travel from Manaparai to Trichy for all the three months starting from 19.04.2018 to 13.07.2018. As per the Bank regulations and 1/3

settlements, the petitioner is entitled to get Travelling Allowance/Halting Allowance. Therefore, he has claimed a sum of Rs.51,600/- and the said claim was accepted by the second respondent only on 12.06.2020. Thereafter, it was sent to the first respondent for his approval. However, till date the first respondent has not approved the TA/HA bills for the above mentioned period. Therefore, he made a representation on 15.02.2020 to consider his claim and sanction the payment of Rs.51,600/-. However, the respondents have not taken any action till date. Therefore, the petitioner approaches this Court to pass appropriate order. 3.There is no representation for the respondents. 4.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and taking into consideration of the fact that TA has not been cleared by the respondents, this Court directs the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 15.02.2020 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on merits and in accordance with law and to clear TA/HA dues within a period of four weeks thereafter. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
