This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the second respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.368 of 2020, on the file of the second respondent police and on completion of investigation direct the second respondent to file final report within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there are four cases registered as against the petitioner and other accused persons. One case was registered in Crime No.369 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Mayanur Police Station, wherein, final report has been filed and trial is going on before the P.C.R Court, Karur. But, on the complaint given by this petitioner against the Sankar Anand and other accused in Crime No.368 of 2020, investigation not completed and final report not filed. Hence, this present petition has been filed to fix the time frame.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that with regard to the case registered in Crime 2/4

No. 368 of 2020, investigation has been completed and the case has been closed as "Mistake Of Fact" in R.C/21 FR/21 and submitted before the concerned Magistrate Court, on 09.07.2021.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate protest petition with regard to the closure report filed by the respondent police before the concerned Magistrate Court.
