This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.09.2017 and grant free electricity connection in survey No.298/2A situated at Karaikudi Village, Ilayankudi Taluk, Sivagangai District.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that he has given a representation dated 18.09.2017 to the respondents seeking free electricity connection to the property in S.No.298/2A, situated at Karaikudi Village, Ilayankudi Taluk, Sivagangai District. petitioner is before this Court with the above stated prayer. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that no rival claim is made or suit is pending with regard to the property in question.
5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the claim made by the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.09.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any of the interested parties. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
