ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.170 of 2019, pending on the file of the second respondent to some other Police.
2.According to the petitioner, his wife viz., Ramalakshmi died in suspicious circumstances on 22.05.2019 and the second respondent Police registered a First Information Report under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the body of the deceased was also sent for post-mortem and the petitioner is suspecting that his wife might have been murdered. Even though, the crime was registered on 22.05.2019, so far no investigation has been conducted. In the above circumstances, the present petition has been filed.

3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the Investigating Officer / the Inspector of Police, Uchipuli Police Station, Ramanathapuram District, is present before this Court, and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that, now, the investigation is in progress, as many as 12 witnesses have been examined and the respondent Police are awaiting for a Viscera report. He further submitted that the respondent Police will complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, as the investigation is almost completed, and no serious allegation made against the Investigating Officer, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rameshwaram, is directed to monitor the investigation.
5.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
