..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 28.3.2016 within the time stipulated by this Court, for issuance of patta in the name of the Petitioner. Heard both sides.
2.By consent of both sides, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal. No counter is filed on behalf of the Respondents 1 and 2.
3.According to the Petitioner, his representation, dated 28.3.2016 addressed to the Second Respondent/The Tahsildar, Tahsildar Office, Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar District has not met with any positive response till date. Therefore, as an aggrieved person, he has filed the present Writ Petition. 4.A perusal of the contents of the representation of the Petitioner, dated 28.3.2016 shows that the Petitioner has sought for issuance of patta in his name from the name of his Father, who has been given patta in the year 1994. seeks for correction in the patta in question. 5.Considering the limited relief sought for by the Petitioner in the main Writ Petition, at this stage, this Court without going into the merits and contents of the representation of the Petitioner, dated 28.3.2016, simpliciter, directs the respondents to look into the representation of the Petitioner, dated 28.03.2016 and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned speaking order within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order(Of course after providing adequate opportunity to the Petitioner and others concerned, if any, by adhering to the principles of natural justice in true letter and spirit).
It is open to the Petitioner to submit/produce copies of necessary documents / records before the Respondents and on receipt / production of the said documents / records, the Respondents shall do the needful within the time limit prescribed by this Court. The Petitioner is directed to lend his assistance and co-operation to the Respondents in this regard, for disposal of his representation, within the time limit determined by this Court, as stated supra.
6.With the aforesaid observations and directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
