records relating to the impugned order of the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.2518/A2/2018 dated 16.11.2018 and consequent impugned order of the third respondent in Na.Ka.No. /A1/2018 dated 16.11.2018 and quash the same and consequently directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to notify the post of Head Master of Panchyat Union Elementary School, Pallathadi, Kodaikanal, Dindigul District as vacant in the current General Counseling for promotion during the year 2019-2020 and to consider the petitioner for promotion as Head Master on the basis of due seniority and prepare a fresh seniority of petitioner and 4th respondent thereafter taking into consideration the relinquishment of promotion including seniority of 4th respondent made in 2015.

It is now brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Counsel for the fourth respondent as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents which is also agreed by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that subsequent to the filing 2/5

of this Writ Petition, the fourth respondent has voluntarily retired from service in the year 2023.

2.In view of the same, the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has now become infructuous.
