Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to grant permission to the petitioner's association for conducting 'Cock Fight' at near Perumal Kovil Street, Aranthangi Main Road, opposite to Kalliamman Temple on 4th and 5th March.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting cock fight in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

petitioner has given a representation, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the third respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Town Police Station, Pattukottai is directed to look into the representation dated 30.01.2017 alleged to have been given by the petitioner and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
