Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2015 regarding sanction of minimum pension in the light of G.O.(Perm)No.756 Revenue Department dated 17.08.1993 and G.O.(Perm)No.148 Revenue Department dated 20.04.2011, so that the petitioner can get minimum pension in the evening of his lifetime, within a specified time frame that may fixed by this Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2015 regarding sanction of minimum
pension in the light of G.O.(Perm)No.756 Revenue Department dated 17.08.1993 and G.O.(Perm)No.148 Revenue Department dated 20.04.2011, so that the petitioner can get minimum pension in the evening of his lifetime, within a specified time frame that may fixed by this Court.
2.Heard, Mr.S.Visvalingam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.K.Baskara Pandian, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
3.Having regard to the limited nature of relief sought by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any view on the correctness or entitlement of the claim made, directs the petitioner to re-send the representation of the petitioner dated 15.03.2015 to the first respondent on or before 31.12.2017 along with the copy of this order and directs the first respondent to dispassionately consider the representation dated 15.03.2015 made by the petitioner and pass reasoned orders on merits in accordance with law and communicate the same to the petitioner and file a report of such compliance before the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court on or before 28.02.2018.
4.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No costs.
