ORDER

Mrs.Pitchaiammal, after the death of her husband, on 25.02.2009, in a road accident, gave a representation to the respondents seeking pension and other monetary benefits claiming to be the legal heirs of the deceased husband. It is stated by the petitioner that the first wife of the deceased husband had eloped with some one and the petitioner and her deceased husband had been living together for the past twenty years. It is also stated that her name is also entered in the Service Book. However, the respondents have failed to take effective action on the representation made by the petitioner. Therefore, she gave another representation, on 10.03.2016. Again, there was no response from the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

Mr.T.R.Janarthanam, learned Additional Government Pleader, was put on notice for the respondents.

In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.03.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
