ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to disburse the arrears of pension amount with interest to the petitioner.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner retired from service on 30.09.2001, he is being paid pension only from September' 2015 and the arrears of pension from his retirement till August' 2015 has not been paid to him. In connection with his claim of arrears of pension, he made several representations. However, his representations have not been considered by the respondents so far. Hence, he has approached this Court.

3.The respective learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the grievances of the petitioner would be addressed on merits.

4.In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. Such an exercise shall be done within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
