ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) Heard both sides.

2.The writ petitioner is said to be no more. However, this writ petition has been filed only in public interest. The petitioner had given a representation dated 04.07.2021 seeking the intervention of the District Collector, Theni against the illegal collection of charges made by the fifth respondent herein in respect of the use of the threshing floor by farmers. 2/5

The Secretary, Theni Marketing Committee had also supported the writ petitioner's request vide communication dated 12.08.2021 issued to the District Collector.

3.Since the fifth respondent is not before us, we are not in a position to go into the merits of the matter. We, however, direct the first respondent to look into the writ petitioner's representation and other relevant materials, issue notice to the fifth respondent and take appropriate action as per law. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. We clarify that the merits of the matter have not been gone into. 4.This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
