ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.) Challenging the impugned order passed by the third respondent, dated 07.07.2022 refusing to grant to permission to conduct Kida Muttu tournament and for a direction to the respondents to grant permission and afford protection for conducting the Kida Muttu Tournament scheduled from 14.07.2022 at 08.00 am at K.Veppankkulam, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.
2.Heard Mr.C.Mayilvahana Rajednran, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.It is admitted that though the petitioner has challenged the same order with regard to refusal of permission to conduct Kabadi tournament before the learned Single Judge, the said Writ Petition was dismissed. In present case, the learned Counsel for the petitioner states 2/4
that the petitioner is aggrieved by the rejection of the petitioner's application regarding permission to conduct Kida Muttu. 4.In the impugned order, the rejection of permission to conduct Kabadi and Kida Muttu is on the ground of law and order issue. This Court normally may not interfere with the decision of either the Executive Magistrate or the Law Enforcement Agency if the said decision is taken purely in public interest, particularly, to preserve the public peace and tranquillity. No special circumstance is brought to the notice of this Court to give permission to the petitioner to conduct Kida Muttu programme and this Court find no merits in this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
