ORDER : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.T.LENIN KUMAR, Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.P.KOTTAI CHAMY, Government Advocate(crl.side) on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- The petition has been filed to extend the time to furnish sureties in Spl.Crl.M.P.No.27 of 2020 dated 19.05.2020. 2.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that due to Covid-19 pandemic situation prevailing all over the State, he is unable to furnish sureties and could not surrender before the concerned Magistrate and execute the bail bond within a stipulated time as ordered by the Court below. Hence, he prays to grant further time to execute the sureties.
3.Heard the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) appearing for the State.
