Heard Mr.G.M.Xavier, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.C.Herold Singh, learned counsel for the respondents.
2. The petitioner, who is the wife of Mayandi who was died on 22.04.2020 while in service, has filed this Writ Petition for issuance of Writ of Mandamus seeking direction against the respondents to provide the death compensation of his husband and also his monetary, terminal benefits and monthly pension payable to the petitioner along with 6% interest.
3. By consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. The petitioner's husband viz., Mayandi was employed as a Conductor in the respondent Corporation on 02.07.1991 and while working, he died on 22.04.2020, in the middle of his service. Thus, he rendered 29 years of service.

5. It is admitted that the petitioner's husband terminal benefits were not settled to her till date. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation dated 07.09.2023 to the respondents requesting them to provide the said benefits along with interest. Since no action was taken, the present petition came to be filed.
6. In view of the above facts, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2023 and pass orders on mertis and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
